Link of the Month

Raquel Bitton
A wondrous French singer...check out her new movie about Edith Piaf!

Albert & Gage: ...will be spending the month in the Austin area, singing songs of the season.  Christine is busy with French music (David Webb is now playing piano in the Cow Beret Orchestra and David Carroll is on upright bass), booking A&G next year and nurturing Swan Songs.  Chris is the webmaster and studio maestro, hard at work on both, as well as a couple of shows with Slaid Cleaves.

MoonHouse Studio:  Chris is mixing the upcoming Red Willow Band live CD, recorded for the South Dakota Public Broadcasting DVD about RWB. Work begins on "The Texafrance Collection" - a compilation of tracks from the previous two Texafrance CDs and newly recorded material - to be released later this year.

MoonHouse Records:  Sales have been strong this year, thank you all very much for ordering online and especially for coming to our shows and "shaking howdy" while you pick up an autographed copy.  We couldn't do this without you.  And a big thank you again to all the djs around the planet that include MoonHouse music on their shows.  There's still time to pick up a copy of Albert and Gage "One More Christmas" CD....great little stocking stuffer.

Visit our MySpace page for a free download of "Go Tell It On The Mountain".

CDs and and artist info can be found at MoonHouseRecords.com.  Albert and Gage, Christine Albert, Cowboy Johnson, Michael Austin and Red Willow Band all available now.

Podcasts with Albert & Gage, Michael Austin, Bill Small and many more can be heard at www.austinconnection.net.

...a note from Christine...

The quote of the month is a fitting one for December.  My usual mode of operation is to try to do everything at the same time - juggling like a circus clown - but the holiday season makes my attempts even more comical.  It's just not possible and something has to give.  This month connecting with friends and  family is the one thing that doesn't get shoved to the bottom of the list and I love that.  My son is coming home from USC and we'll hop on a plane to see my family in Florida for a few days.  The database entry, contracts, press releases and bathroom cabinet organizing will just have to wait.  Well, maybe not the bathroom cabinets.  That's my idea of indulgence!
Christmas Eve at Trinity, Armadillo Christmas Bazaar, Central Market Christmas Extravaganza, New Year's Eve at the Wild Basin - we don't have snow here in Austin, but we do have traditions that warm my little transplanted Texas heart.
     Joy and Peace to All,

     Christine

Quote of the Month

"
I've learned that you can't have everything and do everything at the same time."
Oprah Winfrey

Here's a little game for
those of you with
the time.....

...and a note from Chris...

Hey and howdy from beautiful Austin Texas where we had dinner on the porch last night at a balmy 72 degrees, and then set the thermostat to 'heat' on the way to bed because a freeze was expected.
True confessions...I have been enjoying the networking website MySpace.  I avoided getting involved in myspace for the longest time, but have recently discovered it's merits, and have had a ball designing the look of our myspace pages (
Albert and Gage / Chris Gage
/ Christine Albert / Michael Austin / Red Willow Band)
Originally a teen hangout, MySpace has become a very cool place to listen to music, and to research your musical heroes of the past.  Every musician's page has several songs cued up for you to listen to.  You can check it out anytime, and if you join up (for free) you can communicate with your favorite artists at the click of a mouse.
Want to be our myspace friend?
Christmas is my favorite time of the year, and it's almost time to get out the Santa collection.  (I rescued a little broken Santa from Thrift Town just this afternoon.)
Happy Holidays...see you at the gig!

     Chris
