Albert & Gage:  We have been running all around Texas, celebrating the release of "Cry Love".  Thanks for the great attendance and the enthusiasm for the new tunes.  This month we'll be immersed in the Folk Alliance conference in Austin, while continuing to send the new CD out into the universe.

MoonHouse Studio:  Country singer/songwriter Mike Clifford finishes up his new CD with piano by Chris and background vocals by the lovely Pauline Reese.  We put some finishing touches on a South Dakota jingle for Billion Automotive, we're adding some vocals to a couple songs by Chan Chandler (cool website built by cartoonist Sam Hurt) and we're planning some sessions with our good friend (and massage artist) Sharon Bousquet

MoonHouse Records:   The new Albert and Gage CD "Cry Love" is available  at www.moonhouserecords.com and at Waterloo Records in Austin, Texas.  The national radio release is imminent, and will be handled by our radio ally Bill Wence.  Listen for it on your local radio station and send us a note if you have a favorite program that might be inclined to spin it.

...a note from Christine...

I haven't had much time to look up lately.  My head is bent over the computer or the PA system most of the hours of everyday.  But Chris is so right, I do love those live oak trees around the MoonHouse!
I've been hard at work organizing the Texas Outreach Trail concerts, part of the Folk Alliance conference.  As the host city, we are sending visiting artists into the community to perform at nursing homes, hospices and children's facilities.  It's been a gratifying program to put together.  Artists like the John Cowan Band, The Rowan Brothers and Dana Cooper will be bringing joy and music to Austin.
My other big focus has been helping my son Troupe apply to colleges and trying to explain to the federal government how much we would like some financial aid!  They don't make it easy, but it will all be worth it as I watch him blossom into the man I know he will become.  He's already a great guy.
Come enjoy Valentine's Day with us.  We'll be ready to let some passionate music fly post-conference!

Quote of the Month
In the attitude of silence the soul finds the path in a clearer light, and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness. Our life is a long and arduous quest after Truth.

...and a note from Chris...

What a great time to be living in Austin, Texas.  Summers can be scorching, but once you get into our so-called "winter' months, it's time to sit on the porch in a long sleeved shirt and watch the squirrels go crazy picking up all the acorns that have fallen off of the huge live oak trees that are such a big part of the Austin landscape
We have 4 such trees towering over our property, and have been told that they're probably 200 years old.  In the spring they drop green fuzz all over everything for about a month, and in the fall the acorns fall, and it sounds like a weird hailstorm pelting the top of the house.  But....in the months right after the holidays they are peaceful and majestic, and I sit in my porch rocker and enjoy!
     Chris
