Albert & Gage: We head north and west and return to Christine's stomping grounds in New Mexico and Colorado, with dates in Denver, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Tularosa and Las Cruces. Notice that we will not be at Donn's for our first Wednesday, Chris will miss a Monday and Chris will also miss First Thursday at Artz with Michael Austin. The rest of the summer we're hanging close to Austin, which is always a pleasure. Don't miss Central Market this month on Bastille Day, July 14. We'll throw in some more French music in honor of the holiday! MoonHouse Studio: Lawrence J. Clark continues work on a gospel record produced by Chris Gage. The very gifted Karen Mal came in and Chris added some parts to the new CD she is creating with hit-maker Bill Small. Dick Walker came in singing about Jesus wanting to "two-step across Lake Travis, listening to KUT" (www.kut.org) . MoonHouse Records: The "Cry Love" airplay list keeps growing, especially because we finally began the European mailing. Here's the ever changing list. We're still sending it out there into the universe while we look ahead in our creative minds to the next endeavor. Chris has been working hard on setting up digital download, so very soon most of the MoonHouse Records catalog will be available at iTunes. |

...a note from Christine...
Chris has been in Las Vegas for four days now and I've had some long
overdue solitude. It's been nice to give my voice a rest...only
speaking to my kitties. I notice that I am usually yapping all the
time...making plans, taking care of business, discussing the news, blah,
blah, blah, blah. I probably do 85 % of the talking and Chris listens.
Without a human on the receiving end I've given my vocal chords and mental
muscles a rest. Maybe I'll try to be more selective with my words in
the future. Nah....He comes home tonight and I have so much to tell
him!! |

Quote of the Month |
This past month I was touched by death and illness in
our extended circle several times. It was a month of sadness and
struggle and a reminder of how fragile and fleeting life is. All the
more reason to hold it carefully until it is time to let it go. Christine |
|
...and a note from Chris...
Like she
said, she does 85% of the talking...(which is fine with me). Just came
from a Mickey Newbury gathering gig over at Ruta Maya's in Austin.
There are several music venues within a mile or two of the house, each
within walking distance of a great Mexican restaurant (gotta love Austin).
Anyway, Mickey's tunes can always make you feel something. Off to
Denver tomorrow for a Swallow Hill
concert, and a little time with family and friends. See you there. |
