Albert & Gage:  February was one busy month.  March keeps us closer to home and with a lighter schedule so that we can catch our breath and have a bit of a life.  We're booking the year ahead (Ark in May; NM in July; SD in September; England and Germany in October) and having a great time here in Texas playing our new music.  "Cry Love" is selling well and we're getting a lot of smiles from the folks who hear it.  Thank you!

MoonHouse Studio:  The thrill of the season happened yesterday when Sara Hickman's 9 year old daughter Lily came into the studio to sing a song for a CD benefiting the Hill Country Youth Ranch outside of Kerrville, Texas.  Lily sang a heart wrenching song about abusive parents (the singer tells her little sister to "go to sleep, don't make them mad").  Wow, what a voice this little angel hasAnd Lily's little sister iolana was even in the studio to lend support.  She got to push the big red Producer's button.

MoonHouse Records:   A&G and MHR would like to thank the following stations for the airplay that "Cry Love" has received so far - KAXE Grand Rapids, MN; KFAN Fredericksburg, TX; KGLP Gallup, NM; KGLT Bozeman, MT; KGSR Austin, TX; KPFT Houston, TX; KSJD Cortez, CO; KSYM San Antonio, TX; KTRU Houston, TX; KUT Austin, TX; KUTE Durango, CO; KVNF  Paonia, CO; WBCG Port Charlotte, FL; WETS Johnson City, TN; WFCS New Britain, CT; WHAY Whitley City, KY; WJJC Commerce, GA; WMNF Tampa, FL; www.countrybear.com, Lake Placid, FL; WYOU Virginia Beach, VA.

Please call them up and request Albert & Gage!  Many of these stations are also streaming on the web, so do a little searching and check them out.  There are some wonderful programs out there that feature independent artists like ourselves.

...a note from Christine...

Whew!  I have to admit.  I am glad to have February behind us.  I had my hands full organizing the Texas Outreach Trail Concerts during the recent Folk Alliance conference.  The good news is that 12 visiting artists filled the halls of Austin area nursing homes, children's shelters and hospice facilities with amazing music.  It was my baby and took about as much attention and nurturing as Troupe as a toddler!  We also put out the new CD and I applied for financial aid for my real "baby" at 7 colleges.
I am ready for a break from spread sheets, forms, taxes and emails.  So, I'm off to Florida for a long overdue visit with my family while Chris stays here and plants the garden.  Some ocean air is always good to clear the brain.

...and a note from Chris...

This year I'm getting my vegetables planted early in my new raised beds.  I've got winter onions
(thanks Mike and Beth) and lettuce still kicking butt out there, and two beds that haven't even been filled with dirt yet.  I tell people in the winter I grow a salad bar, in the spring I grow spaghetti sauce and salsa, and in the heat of the Austin summer we just sit back and watch the jalapeno, serrano and cayenne peppers take over the whole garden.  These plants just love the heat, and they get HUGE!!
We're lucky to have one big sunny spot in the backyard.  The sun and the moon both sail right over the garden keeping us literally and spiritually well-fed.
Gardening tips?  Send them on!  Why do my zuccini plants rot out at the roots after a couple squash are harvested?
     Chris
