Albert & Gage:  We'll be enjoying Texas gigs, Texas weather and the MoonHouse this month.

MoonHouse Studio:
Mixing has begun on the Red Willow Band "Then and Now" DVD and CD project recorded at the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls, SD, during September.  SD Public TV has several shows aired during the 70's to pull footage from, and they taped the band live this year in front of an enthusiastic audience.  Chris will be mixing the audio at MoonHouse Studio for the DVD and the CD.

MoonHouse Records:
Some of
our music can be found on iTunes now.  Due to licensing issues, not all MoonHouse music is available there yet.  Radio stations can download tracks at Airplay Direct

CDs and and artist info can be found at MoonHouseRecords.com.  Albert and Gage, Christine Albert, Cowboy Johnson, Michael Austin and Red Willow Band all available now.

Podcasts with Albert & Gage, Michael Austin, Bill Small and many more can be heard at www.austinconnection.net.

...a note from Christine...

Man oh man - what a sensory overload October was!  So much beauty flying by the window of the van, so much great food, so much great wine, so many supportive and enthusiastic audiences, so many hotel rooms, so many miles sleeping sitting up, so many new friends, so many old friends.  But waking up in my own bed the last two mornings is the most wonderful sensation of all!  I have had a series of dreams about being forced to look for a new house, and experiencing the sadness of letting go of the MoonHouse.  It's always a relief to wake up and discover it was a dream.  I guess I was going through some separation anxiety.
My favorite part of the tour was visiting my uncle's grave at the American Military Cemetery in Cambridge, England.  There is so much reverence, appreciation and respect shown by the British to our fallen soldiers.
Thank you to Slaid Cleaves for taking us on such a cool musical journey in the UK and for putting me in the right place at the right time for that important personal moment.

Quote of the Month
"
I don’t think of the past.  The only thing that matters is the everlasting present."

W. Somerset Maugham
English dramatist and novelist
1874-1965

...and a note from Chris...

We made it back safely from our month-long tour of Scotland, England, Germany and the Netherlands.  A photo tour starts here, but keep checking it out during the month as I might add more photos.  I got some amazing shots out the window of the cars, using a fast shutter speed (thanks, Terry Smith).

In the UK I learned that:
checkout time is a vacation
a vacation is a holiday
a truck is a lorry
a parking lot is a carpark
a detour is a diversion
an overlook is a layby
a yield sign says 'give way'
the exit says 'way out'
food to go is takeaway

and that an English breakfast always includes eggs, bacon (like Canadian bacon), sausage, toast, baked beans, mushrooms and a cooked tomato.

It's great to be home.  See you at the gig.
