A&G coming in October to
Houston, Plano, Cape Cod and Bar Harbor, Maine!

Albert and Gage e-newsletter October 2007

Albert & Gage: We're playing lots of private events this month, some cool Texas shows and a trip to New England to return to two of our favorite spots - Cape Cod and Bar Harbor.  We'll be visiting Captain Frank at WOMR in Provincetown, Mass, sharing the stage with Kelly Willis in Plano, Texas, and eating lobster in Bar Harbor, Maine.  Hey, someone's got to do it!

MoonHouse Studio:  The studio continues to be a construction zone, so there isn't much music being made there yet.  Just the melody of power tools and nail guns and the slow dance of progress.  There's so many people working hard to make this space a reality...it's quite humbling.  Special thanks to Bruce, Kevin, Kevin, Matt, Harrison, Hauser and all their helpers for bringing lights and walls and trim to our little corner of the world.

MoonHouse Records:  Find all of our music at www.moonhouserecords.comCheck out the new complete listening system - you can hear a sample of every song from every CD.  It's very user friendly.  And remember, much of our catalog is available at iTunes as well.

...a note from Christine...

I just returned from several days in Florida where our family celebrated my parents' 60th wedding anniversary.  They continue to amaze me with their devotion to each other and all of us kids, grandkids and great grandkids.  I know that I am blessed to have them and to have been raised in such a loving home.  Life was never perfect, nor were we lead to believe that we should be.  They encouraged us to be curious, compassionate, truthful, kind and most importantly - individuals.  Thanks Mom and Dad.
My day is calling me...we flew in last night and today we travel out of town for a private event.  The truck needs an oil change, the bank account needs a deposit, the PA needs to be loaded, Chris needs to write his note...you get the picture.  Our life is quite full right now.  The chaos of the studio remodel and move is still throwing us for a loop, so this will have to be a short letter.
Thanks to all the South Dakotans who made our shows up there so fabulous.  We look forward to New England this month - we're catching some fall weather as we tour, although it hasn't really hit here in Austin.
     Best to all...
     Christine

...and a note from Chris...

I'm very excited about getting into the new studio with music in mind.  Our friend Bill Small is leasing the smaller side of the duplex, and he's been working on a CD all week, so I leave our construction site and walk 10 yards to his door, where it's very calm and musical inside.  You can hardly hear the nail guns going off on the other side of the wall.  Of course, I added 3/4 inch plywood covered with theater curtains (thanks, Andy) to help keep out the sound.  We'll be musical on our side very soon....
I've had some wonderful family time lately as well.  We managed to spend a couple days in Winter Park, CO, with my sister Patty and her husband Rob, had a nice dinner with brother Mike and his partner Elaine, and have spent relaxing days with with both my parents.  Dad and Phyllis have a beautiful home in Las Vegas, and my Mom has the nicest apartment in Pierre, SD....her patio door looks right out onto the Missouri River.  Top that all off with a visit to Christine's family reunion, and I feel quite replenished.  I start to feel a little incomplete when I'm apart from family, don't you?
     See you at the gig....
