GOODBYE ALPINE ADVENTURERS
Departure from Zurich Airport and end of Albert & Gage
Alpine Adventure Tour 2012 |
| |
 |
|
What is it?
A nine day musical trip (including international travel
days) across Switzerland with Christine Albert
and Chris Gage, with David Carroll on upright bass and host
Martin Meier from Switzerland. Christine's mother
was born and raised in Switzerland so Ms. Albert has
Alpine blood running in her veins. Join us as we
explore some towns that are off the beaten path, play
shows in venues that are picture postcard beautiful,
burst into spontaneous yodeling at the sight of a Swiss
cow (it's been known to happen) and devour Swiss fondue
and chocolate.

FLIGHTS
It's about an 8 hour flight
from your international hub airport...time enough for
dinner, a movie, a little nap, a light breakfast and
then greet your jet lag day the next morning. It's
a short night flying east, and then a LONG sunlit day
flying back west. |

|
FOOD
We are leaving the food budget up to each individual as
tastes and preferences vary. There may be some
fixed price meals at private events/receptions.
We're confident that Martin will direct
us towards some amazing Swiss cuisine. He hasn't
let us down yet....Venison Diana with mushroom sauce,
fondue, raclette, nüssli salad, amazing bread and wine,
and oh...my...God...the cheese.
Stick with us, we know where to eat.
|
|
TRANSPORTATION, HOTELS, PAYMENT
Transportation will be provided - we'll be using
two vans so there will be room for all of us and our
luggage and gear. All hotels
will be at least 3 Star accommodations. We are
working with Martin Meier, a Swiss banker by day and a
music promoter by passion/night. He is very
reputable and detail oriented. Most hotels
will come with a delicious free breakfast (Frühstück)
downstairs. Frühstück is usually bread, lunch meat
and cheese, müsli and yoghurt, hard boiled eggs and
coffee. Mmmm.
Fun fact: Swiss folks enjoy a triple
cheek kiss...left, right, left. |

ACTIVITIES
The schedule of activities, shows, etc. (above) is
subject to small, inspired changes, but basically this
is the plan. T We'll have to do some shopping, of
course. Can you say "engraved Swiss army knife?"
